What you get

The full EqualWeb PDF Accessibility product, in SharePoint

Cloud Connect through your Microsoft sign-in - nothing to install, no apps to register. Every document gets a 0-100 accessibility score against 80+ PDF/UA and WCAG rules, a detailed report with a permanent link, a legal-priority classification with a full audit trail - and one-click AI remediation that replaces the file in place, so nothing anyone linked, embedded or bookmarked ever breaks.

  • Admin Connect: a one-time Microsoft admin consent - you choose what the connection can see, and can revoke it in Microsoft Entra at any time
  • Delta scanning: after the first pass, only changed documents are re-scanned
  • In-place replacement keeps the same file ID and preserves SharePoint version history - restore is built in
  • A status stamp lives in a SharePoint list column - your data stays with you
Minimum access, maximum transparency

What we see - and what we never see

  • What we get

The document libraries you connect, through the Microsoft sign-in you approve

  • Who approves

Your Microsoft 365 admin - a single one-time consent screen

  • What we never see

Anything you did not approve - revoke anytime in Microsoft Entra (Enterprise applications)

Your files are never stored with EqualWeb - a document is processed in the remediation cloud and the result returns to SharePoint. Keys and credentials are stored encrypted (AES-256). Nothing is uploaded by hand and nothing is downloaded back - the accessible version lands exactly where the original was.

How it works

Scan. Score. Prioritize. Remediate in place.

Skip the upload-download loop: connect once, and every PDF is checked, scored and remediated directly at the source.

  1. Scan

The document libraries of the SharePoint sites your admin approves - and only those. Office documents (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) are detected too, for accessible conversion.

  2. Score

Every document is checked against 80+ PDF/UA and WCAG rules and gets a 0-100 score plus a detailed, permanently-linked report.

  3. Prioritize

Documents are classified by signals from SharePoint itself: required for service, public, internal, or archive (pending your confirmation) - so you fix what matters first.

  4. Remediate

One click sends the document to EqualWeb's AI remediation - tagging, reading order, alt text, metadata - and the accessible file replaces the original in place. The original stays restorable.

FAQ

PDF accessibility in SharePoint - common questions

Does EqualWeb get access to our whole Microsoft 365 tenant?
No. The connection is a Microsoft OAuth sign-in with a one-time admin consent: it can read only what you approve on the consent screen. Your admin can see, audit and revoke the connection at any time in Microsoft Entra under Enterprise applications.
What happens to a document when it is remediated?
The accessible version replaces the original in place - same file ID, same links, same sharing. SharePoint's own version history keeps the original, so restoring is one click.
Do we need to install anything on our servers?
No. It is a Cloud Connect sign-in: approve once and your libraries appear in the EqualWeb dashboard - there is nothing to deploy or update on your side.
